Snapshot loaded Instead of saved machine

Hi.I have a windows server 2008R2 client on a Windows Ultimate 64 bit host.Today when I started the machine Instead of restoring the current saved state It restored a snapshot I created a while back and I lost my current configuration.All I did was double click on the machine like I always do.Is there any reason why It would load the snapshot Instead of restoring the recent machine state I saved ?
