How does your host get internet access? Bridged mode at its simplest will require a router which hands out IP addresses using DHCP.
What's your problem with NAT? What do you care what IP address they pretend to be using?

You can't have separate IPs if you use NAT, because that's what NAT is: a way to share one external IP address. If you use bridged then your VM will appears on your LAN with its own IP address - provided there is a DHCP server around to provide an IP address, and that depends on the configuration of your LAN. Some company LANs for example will not allow an unknown MAC address to join a network - NAT will work fine in that environment, getting "Bridged" to work would require help from your companies IT support bods.
