hang on "saving state" on high ram usage

hi,

i noticed that latest VBox appears to have a problem when i am saving the execution sate of a VM when i am low on memory. Low, as in, the taskmanager graph is touching the top of the box. :)
The result is that "saving execution state" hangs at 100% and i have to manually kill the vboxsvc process.

I can not 100% reproduce this, but it happens often enough to link it to the high memory usage. Once it`s stuck it`s stuck, even if i free up memory.

Post the guests log file (as an attachment)
See Online Users Manual for the location of the file.

Couple of things. You are running close to being out of available memory before the guest is started. I would see about increasing the amount system memory or at the least drop the amount of memory you are assigning to the guest. It might run slower but you should not have so many hangs. Then you may want to upgrade to the newest version of VirtualBox due to regression fixes since 4.2.0
