Client clock 1 hour off Vbox 4.1.18 XP pro

Post by Cool Javelin »

I am running XPpro SP3 as a host, and have a client running XPpro SP2.

The clock in the client is 1 hour slow.

I tried manually setting the client clock, but it changes itself after some small time.

I tried unchecking the "automatically change time fo daylight savings time"

I tried to change the time zone, then tried changing it back.

I tried to disable the internet time, and also tried forcing it to sync with time.nist.gov and time.windows.com.

It always tries to set itself to be one hour off.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Mark.

If the time is always an hour off it has to do with the DST settings in the guest or an issue within the guest itself.

If you have the guest additions installed (in the guest) VirtualBox will try to keep it in sync but can not override an improper DST setting or other problem that the guest would have.
