ver 4.2.0
I have two VMs that I switched from NAT to Internal with a network name of locnet. The guestOS are both Linux one Fedora6 and another CentOS 6.3. According to documentation I should be able to use the VboxManage dhcpserver command to set a dhcp server for this internal network but after multiple reboots the vm fail to receive an address from dhcp.

Below is some info:

Code: Select all

c:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox>VBoxManage.exe dhcpserver add --netname locne
t --ip 192.168.2.253 --netmask 255.255.255.0 --lowerip 192.168.2.150 --upperip 1
92.168.2.155 --enable

c:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox>VBoxManage.exe list dhcpservers

[Solved]

I was just doing a reboot on the machine.
Once I did a shutdown and started the vm's again they both successfully picked up an address.

and began talking to each other.

Glad you got it working. In future we'd appreciate it if you posted log files as attachments rather than just hose us with text.
