hi guys how going ? so im a new user of Virtualbox and i have a reaaaaal problem -_-
i run backtrak with virtualbox and after closing it boufff no sound in my windows 7 , i mean u can hear the systeme sound but u can't hear any media that contain sound in any software (i tried mp3 mp4 dvd avi in media player vlc etc...and even audio games dont work) i opened the voice setting and i found that i had a new peripheral and its name is "nvidia HDMI out" and its disabled and cant even enable its and when i opened drivers i found a new surprise a new driver in the sound called "nvidia high definition audio" pfff a real truble i tried youtube dailymotion and no sound ! (i dnt even have a HD tv x) discusting this driver....) sooo plz guys i really need ur help and thnx

Clarify that you are talking about the Hosts sound has problems.

VirtualBox does not install any drivers like you are posting so these came from something else if in fact they are new.

Lastly I can't remember the last time there was an audio issue like you are presenting nor that one has ever occurred. Not saying you don't have a problem I have just never seen it. That being the case no one can help without real information.

See Online Users Manual for the location of the file.

Also you need to think back to what has changed besides installing VirtualBox. Any other programs, or updates?

its in my systeme not in the systeme that i run it in virtual box
its in the windows 7 not on backtrack
i strart using it in 27/10/2012 and since this date i dnt have sound in media
i remember also i've run backtrack 5 r3 in a bootable cd just to know how it is and then a message like this appered
"KDE detected that one or more internal sound devices were removed Do you want KDE to permanently forget about these devices?
This is the list of devices KDE thinks can be removed:
capture: ensoniq audiopci ens1371
output: ensoniq audiopci en1371"

SO the live CD said it could not detect the audio. I would say that the issue is in the host and has nothing to do with VirtualBox. I would do a Windows system restore to a point just before you started this and see if it will reinstall the proper drivers. Or try using the device manager to detect and re-install the audio drivers and see what happens.

already did that and it doesnt work :s there is no programe that can restore my pc into an older point ? :s

This is a Host OS issue and you can use google to get these yourself. I don't mind helping but am not online all the time.
