I just installed Windows 8 Pro x64 (release version) on my machine (intel i7). When trying to install VirtualBox on it, it gets about 80% install completion and then just hangs while my internet connection goes offline. When I reboot, I can get internet back though. I am also able to launch VirtualBox (even though it crashed at 80%) although the bridge connection option does not see any compatible network adapters on my machine.
TL;DL; It seems like on the official Win8 Pro X64 that the bridge network driver is not compatible with it yet. Please fix soon!

Re: Win8 host hangs on VB installation
The bridge filter driver is fine. That does not mean that it will work with every driver for every network card for every OS.
Device drivers for new operating systems often take a while to catch up.
Can you install Windows 8 if you do not select any network card in the vm? How about with it set to the default (NAT)?
