Hi
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 as my host machine and installed Ubuntu 12.10 as guest OS and enabled remote display on port 8889. When I try to connect from my host OS to guest os thru rdesktop it fails with following error.
# rdesktop 192.168.1.10:8889
Autoselected keyboard map en-us
ERROR: send: Broken pipe
disconnect: Server initiated disconnect.
#
Thanks in advance.

Re: VRDP Error
Did you install the Extension Pack? How to install Extension Pack
If you intend to use vRDP then remember it is the host IP and port you assign.

Re: VRDP Error
What is the version of VirtualBox and was it from Ubuntu or VirtualBox.org?
From host terminal type id and post results
Also from host terminal type VBoxManage list extpacks and post results
As well as From the hosts terminal type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use " " if the name has a space in it.
