Trial version of any software does not expire, how?

Post by Tiktak »

Have read somewhhere that any trial verson of any software does not expire or is set not to expire when it is operated in virtualization such as Virtualbox.

This is amazing. Just for the sake of learnig, will someone please be so kind as to inform me how it so works?

Thank you!

Well, maybe it is not DOES NOT EXPIRE. Maybe it is that trial versions can be used again and again when they are virtualized.
What do you say?

While accurate in the fact that you can get around the EULA/SLA of the trial software and delete and install the guest again, it (in almost all cases) is not what the intention of the vendor was. That said it has nothing to do with VirtualBox which is what is discussed here.

If you like the software, simply pay for the license and give the developers of the software you like the funds necessary to improve it.
If you can't afford the license, find an alternative with a cheaper of free (as in cost) license.
