I made the error in not taking a snapshot of my device prior to installing a firewall application.

I restored the files from my time machine however now get the following error when launching the OS

VD: error VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND opening image file '.../VirtualBox VMs/Windows XP Laptop/Snapshots/{3452ef3c-e420-4d23-9e84-44373271c00e}.vmdk' (VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND).

What do you want us to tell you? The error message seems already quite clear to me. Restore the correct version of the missing file and all should be well.
