TinyCore 4.1 Guest crashes at its booting time

Post by bzhu »

I am running a TinyCore 4.1.18 guest environment with linux kernel v3.0.3 in my built VBox based on 4.1.18 on 32 bit XP machine.
During guest booting, the guest crashed but the VBox runs seems fine.

Here the settings of the vm:
Memory: 1024 MB
Boot order: CD/DVD-ROM
Motherboard Extended Features:
Enable IO APIC
Hardware clock in UTC time
Enable absolute pointing device
Processor: 1
Processor Extended Features: Enable PAE/NX

Here the crash info.
Look at the messages. It seems a problem related to CPU setup or kernel paging request at address fea181ec:

Can someone advise what could cause this crash and why?
If I'd like to look at source code, which component I may need to take a look in 4.1.18 source tree?

Thanks a lot.
