true crypt hidden volume / virtual box error

Post by hendrikjan »

Hi,

I am trying to create a virtual hard disk on a true crypt hidden volume. The hidden volume has 19 gigs of free space. I am trying to create a virtual hard disk of 10 gigs and whatever i do i keep getting this error message:

Het is niet gelukt de harde schijf opslag Z:\Primary.vdi aan te maken

Could not create the medium storage unit 'Z:\Primary.vdi'.

VDI: setting image size failed for 'Z:\Primary.vdi' (VERR_DISK_FULL).

Resultaat Code:VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR (0x80BB0004)
Component:Medium
Interface:IMedium {29989373-b111-4654-8493-2e1176cba890}

I am sure that there are no files in the hidden volume and that the volume is properly mounted. I can drag an drop files to and from it... the error message i get tells me the disk is ful, but even if i try t make the file 8 gigs i get the same error.. If I right click on the mounted file and select properties i get a complete pink circle stating that there is 19 GB of free space, 20 something bytes. The disk has a fat 32 filesystem..

Any tips? Is this a known problem?

fat32 can not support more than a 4GB file.
