Hey Guys looking for some advice.
I've got the the latest version of VB and im trying to install server 2008 64 bit from a factory cd and it will intall then reboot the inpage error blue screen. Then once I've gotten the OS to install (many attempts getting same error) when I go to make the box a domain or install exchange box crashes and will not intstall. I did have the previous version of VB, but I know have 4.2.2 and having the same problem. I've also looked in the bios and vt-x is checked and i've upgraded the bios to the latest version and still having the same problems. I'm running this on a inspiron i5 with WIN 7 64 bit. Any advice on what to tweak would be great.
Thanks for the help

Please post the VM log file of a failed session, i.e. one showing the guest BSOD. Post the log as a .zip attachment. The VM log file is called "VBox.log" and can be found in the "Logs" subfolder of the VM folder.

Re: bsd when installing server 2008 & crashes installing pro
The log is incomplete - you evidently did not shut down this VM after the guest error occurred?
Anyway the most striking feature is a bunch of "AsynchCompletion" lines like this :-
Also, 512MB seems a tad tight for a 2008 server edition of Windows. I would not expect smooth running if you do something like that.
ps. If it reoccurs, please provide a picture of the BSOD screen.

I would have a look a the VM settings for your boot drive (Storage section), and whatever value it now has for "Use host I/O cache", set it the other way.VBox.log wrote: 00:23:06.137607 AsyncCompletion: Task 0x0000002bec68c0 completed after 12 seconds

Thanks for looking at the logs I will change the storage setting and bump up the memory.
