I'm new to Virtualbox. I downloaded Ubuntu 12.04 and installed it on the latest VirtualBox. I installed guest additions and enabled the graphic drivers. Unity 3d in window mode works very well and fast. But when I go into Full screen mode it somehow becomes unusably slow. I noticed that this only happens when using a 3d Desktop like Gnome-shell or Unity3d. Unity2d works just fine in full screen.
Is there anyway how I can fix this, please?

The Host is Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and the Guest is Ubuntu 12.04 32bit.

Also the graphics card is intel

Me too; virtual box 4.2.6; Intel HD 3000 in a dell laptop; doesn't matter what the 3d setting is: perfomance/middle/quality or what the screen resolution is set to.
