Problem: cannot uninstall or update Virtualbox

Hello. I have Virtualbox 4.1.8 on my Windows 7 host. Recently I tried to update it to the latest version, but the update failed for some reason I dont remember. Now I cannot uninstall or update Virtualbox. I both cases the setup tries to uninstall the current version, then something goes wrong (but no error message is displayed) and the setup then rollbacks the uninstall, thus preventing uninstalling or updating.

How can I give more info about this, is there a log somewhere? Or a way to force the uninstall without it trying to rollback?
