Hello,
Thanks for your answers, please help me to find a solution with the follow issue:
Background:
I have a windows XP Virtual Machine (vm) on windows 7 host, in my host I had a share folder with all people of my department and there we usually share files, tutorials, videos, somethings like that, but for audit reasons I copied all this folder to my vm (it´s out for audit), so I usually used the vm to navigate on internet, test software, etc., and I connected with a VPN, and that made that all copy-paste to the share folder takes a huge amount of time.
Issues:
1. I can´t disconnect the VPN because I used to navigate to internet and also the people that want takes some file from the share folder can´t take it out, because the vm hide it.
2. The response time to copy a simple file of 3 Mb it´s a 3 minutes because when I have connected the VPN the file use the VPN network and not the local network.
I think that I can set up the vm with 2 networks, one to use the local network and the other one to use with the VPN, but I don´t know how to do it, this is the firts time that I see this issue, I don´t know if I need change the OS from XP to a Server of something like that, please help me with this situation.
Regards

Re: How to use two networks at VM?
In my limited VPN experience, the VPN software completely takes over the network stack, rendering other networks unreachable.

Re: How to use two networks at VM?
Yes, two NICs in the host is the best solution. Sharing a NIC used for a VPN connection with a vm is usually unsatisfactory.
Controlling how the two NICs behave is controlled through the network settings in the host OS, not through VirtualBox. If you want a NIC in the host to be dedicated to the host OS, clear the check box for the VirtualBox bridged networking driver. No vm can use this interface. To dedicate a NIC to vms, clear all boxes except this driver. Vms can use this NIC but the host cannot.

Re: How to use two networks at VM?
Thanks for the answers, well I can´t solved the issue with just one vm and I had to create another vm with Ubuntu with Samba to check each user to the FileStorage, this is a dirty solution to me because I really want to know how to solve this issue without two vm, if someone can do it please let me know.
