Computer: Asus G73Jw; i7, 8GB, 240GB OCX SSD, 500GB WD 2nd drive
Host OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit, current updates and patches
VirtualBox: V. 4.2 with extender and guest additions
Guest VM: Win 7 Pro, current patches and updates. VM resides on the 500GB 2nd drive.
VM created with SysInternals Disk2VHD off of same computer.
Guest system runs fine, but comes up with three errors every boot/reboot. " Can't find ATK0100 driver, Can't open ACPI ATK0100 kernel mode driver, Must install ATK0100 driver." After closing the errors the system seems to run fine. I have downloaded and installed a dozen different ATK0100 and ATK ACPI drivers to no avail.
Question is...any idea why this is happening? Is it possible that the ACPI ATK0100 driver is being looked for in the host by the guest?
Appreciate any thoughts.

Re: ATK0100 Error
That sounds like running host drivers in the guest. That does not work.
Remove all native drivers via system control / programs!

Re: ATK0100 Error
Stefan,
Thank you,
That is exactly what it was. I turned everything off in msconfig except windows installer, rebooted and then uninstalled all of the hardware direct drivers and apps. Problem solved!
