Hi,
I have the following setup for testing purposes right now:
- OSX Lion 10.7.4 Hardware
- Virtualbox 4.2 for OSX
- Oracle Linux 6.2
- Virtualbox 4.2 for Oracle Linux 6.2
=> I would like to install Windows7 64bit here
But when trying to create any 64bit machine, they are all missing on the VM inside Oracle Linux which definitely is the 64bit version. The 64bit versions are all there in the VM running on Mac OS. I tried to turn on and off different flags for the processor, I think I am done with all combinations there are now to no avail. Is there a way to get this to work?
Thanks
Virtualbox on Oracle Linux 6.2, 64bit OS versions missing

64-bit guests require VT-x to be enabled on the host, e.g. see here.

You are trying to run a VM from within a VM? Mac > VirtualBox > Linux > VirtualBox > Windows?

I took his "OSX Lion 10.7.4 Hardware" line to mean that he is dual booting OS X and Linux on Apple hardware.
