Wacom TabletPC and Screen Orientation problem

Post by antosecrets »

Hi,
I am trying to configure a Windows 8 guest system on a Ubuntu host. I have an hp tm2 2101sl tablet pc, and can't configure the (wacom) pen and touch input properly.
Following info on the web, i have disabled mouse integration and the tablet is set as an enabled usb device for the windows 8 guest .
The pen is correctly recognized without the need of external drivers: I can calibrate it using the standard way in windows8, the top of the pen works as an ereaser and almost everything is fine. The only problem is that my pc is useful as a tablet only when the screen is 180 degree rotated and put "over the keyboard". In this configuration, I rotate the screen in the host ubuntu system but the wacom pen recognition does not "rotate" accordingly (so touching the upper-left screen corner with the pen results in a lower-right corner click).
How can I solve this problem?

Rotating the pen in the host system does not work (at least IMHO) because it is used directly by the guest one.
I think that the problem is linked with the fact that Windows8 does not consider the screen to be rotated. The solution of rotating the screen from the guest host is not possible, since in the screen settings I can't find any such options (while in my alternative non-virtualized windows7 os I can rotate it).
