"Failed to Initialize Graphics Hardware"
"Failed to Initialize Graphics Hardware"
Pretty much the main reason I use VirtualBox is so I can play old games on a new PC. Recently I tried to install Legoland (it's the nostalgia talking) and everything seemed to work fine until I tried to play. The game won't start and instead displays the message "failed to initialize graphics hardware". I've never got this message before, and I play a lot of games on this. I'm using Windows XP on the VM. If you need any more info, please tell me.

Re: "Failed to Initialize Graphics Hardware"
Nothing is needed.
Read the manual about 3d setup. Guest Additions must be installed in safe mode on XP. Neither it works or not. If not, then not.

OK see http://steamcommunity.com/app/221380/di ... 726991953/ for some further instructions here...(hint: you need to enable 3D acceleration in the settings as well as install the full version from guest additions).

A 2012 thread? I believe the above may even predate WDDM support. Best not to wake the dead - locking this one.
