I have a WS2008 R2 server, acting as an internet gateway, that occasionally runs VMs. Every so often some clients lose the ability to resolve DNS queries, which I can only fix by rebooting the server. There's no obvious pattern to this, except that it seems to happen after running VMs on the server. I uninstalled Virtualbox and the problem seems to have gone away.
Has anyone seen Virtualbox cause DNS problems when run on a (Windows) server, in this manner? It doesnt seem specific to any particular version of VBox, as I've upgraded it several times over the time that I've been seeing this problem.
