VirtualBox Crashes with a SharePoint Server

Post by CrisG »

Hello,

I have a bit of an issue that I cannot figure out. I have three virtual servers running on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit machine and they all work great, except for one thing.
On one of the servers I have a SharePoint Server installed and in the other two I have the domain controller, and SQL Database. All that works, so that is not the issue.
The issue is when I try and access the SharePoint Server with ANOTHER virtual machine client within the same network(They are all using bridge connection for the network setting), VirtualBox crashes the server. The odd thing is that I access the SharePoint site on a physical machine and as far as I can tell doesn't cause that crash. So, I haven't the slightest clue as to what it could be. I have attached the log file as I see it's frequently asked and perhaps someone can assist in find the issue.

Virtual Guest:
Windows 7 Profession 64-bit
1GB ram

Host:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
Core 2 Duo E8500

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Welp, after a little research I managed to fix it.
Looks like it was a 4.2 regression.

To those who get the GURU -400 (VERR_NET_IO_ERROR)

Ticket Number 10936 was the answer for me. I'd post the link, but apparent I must be a member for a lil longer
