Hi,
after I managed to resize the partition/hard drive/image/whateverof the Ubuntu 12.04 in a VirtualBox (VirtualBox 4.2.0 in Windows XP) I got the message:
The system is running in low-graphics mode
I click on "Reconfigure graphics" which show me two options:
- Use default (generic) configuration
- Use your backed-upconfiguration
Both do not do anything!!
I would like to post the xserver log file, but I would need to type all of it (my clipboard is not working either ).
Chosing te point "Run in low-graphics mode for just one session"
gives
Stand by one minute while the display restarts hangs
but nothing happens. This hangs indefinitively. But I am able to login to a console.
ANY IDEAS how I can fix this? Or should I just remove everything and install a new Ubuntu box from scratch? Does this have to do with the resizing of the VirtualBox? It must be , because I had not had this eror before.
ANY IDEA IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
Thanks
Alex

Moved to "Linux Guests", as the Windows Host seems to be irrelevant to your questions.
