Snapshot folder looses letters

I have vbox on W7 with the files saved to a encrypted trucrypt folder. I just built a Mint 13 guest and added guest additions to it. When I save state or save a snapshot the save folder keeps loosing a letter. So it goes from Snapshots to napshots to apshots to pshots ... If you try to fix the folder name it will still keep loosing letters.
