Visual VirtualBox Manager shortcuts

Post by kurti »

I'm looking for some shortcuts when starting a VM from VirtualBox Manager:
1. Start VM but keep window of VirtualBox Manager on top. This way I can start another VM without activating Manager again.
2. Start VM and close VirtualBox Manager. After starting all my VMs I want to close Manager.
Maybe this can be done with holding a special key (like Ctrl or Shift) while double clicking a VM?

I recall that the manager is being maintained for compatibility with older versions (V1, V2) of VirtualBox.
V3, I believe, is when the subdirectories were reorganized to effect all-vm-related-files-under-single-folder for easier back-up/restore processing.
Check out the User Manual Chapter 9 Advanved Topics, for V4.2.1, Section 24.
Note: the Linux and Solaris Host forums have the greatest number of discussions of the section

Update: to correct syntax

I'm taking about the standard "Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager" visual manager (for Windows) for VirtualBox 4.2.0.

Then VirtualBox on Windows Hosts viewforum.php?f=6&sid=a684638c06bb0fb7182d2a41e2baa095. Shortcuts are OS dependent

Maybe shortcut is not the right term. I'm not looking for OS-specific shortcuts just some keyboard or mouse shortcuts. Please read my first post.
