When running VirtualBox I get the message
"Could not start process Cannot talk to klauncher: Not connected to D-Bus server"
when attempting an operation that opens a file picker.
I am running openSUSE12.2 on a computer that I upgraded from openSUSE 12.1. VirtualBox ran fine on 12.1. And also runs fine for new users on 12.2. So I believe the problem lies with some .kde4 or .local or similar file - but I don't want to wholesale delete any of the contents of these folders as that is likely to stop something else working - like kmail or other.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
The file picker fails to open correctly

Re: The file picker fails to open correctly
I have the same problem. I have 4.1.22 running on my Dell Optiplex GX620 desktop on openSuse 12.1 and it is working fine. I have just updated my Dell Inspiron 1521 laptop to openSuse 12.2, and upgraded VBox to 4.2.0 r80737. I was able to install the Extension Pack OK. I want to connect it to an existing Windows XP Pro VDI, but the File Picker comes up blank with the error message:
"Could not start process Cannot talk to klauncher: Not connected to D-Bus server."
"Could not start process Cannot talk to klauncher: Not connected to D-Bus server."
Best wishes

This has been discussed in this thread:

It is a problem with dbus. I looked in YaST and found the upgrade to openSuse 12.2 had installed version 1.5.12-4.6.1. Looked in the versions list and found 1.5.12-4.1.2 was available and installed that. The problem went away.
