Unable to add image in VirtualMediaManager

Hi,

I just installed Virtual Box 4.2.0 on Windows and was following a tutorial on how to set it up to use it with a Linux Image (link: www*scribd*com/doc/48969561/How-to-Install-Ubuntu-in-Oracle-VM-VirtualBox; replace * with .). I was able to follow until step 14, (to load the iso image within the VirtualMediaManager) where I do not have a tab to load CD/DVD images. I only have a tab saying "Optical disks".

So my question is: How to use my Linux iso image with the VirtualBox?

Tab? The only thing I see that you might be calling a tab is the CD icon, and there is no text.

In the storage section of the VM settings, select the CD/DVD drive icon in the panel on the left (if there isn't a CD drive there then add one). While the CD drive is selected, mount the ISO image using the panel on the right. Then boot the VM.

Just to be clear, media is added to a specific VM using the settings for that VM. Media has not been added using the legacy "media manager" for a couple of years. You really ought to be using these forums - or the user manual - as your resource, not some randomly selected obsolete guide.

Thank you very much, that worked.
