Windows Azure Host reboot when VirtualBox VM start

Post by hothandao »

Hi,

I have installed VirtualBox on Windows Azure, created a VM (selected for Windows XP - but have not installed yet).

The host rebooted instantly when the VB VM start.

I have known that running virtualization in virtualization are quite complicated. But I have successfully ran VBOX on Amazon EC2 and Rackspace. This time I tried WIndows Azure, but no success.

Please see the log file

Yeah, although it is not supported, but VBOX apparently runs on Amazon EC2 and Rackspace Windows Server quite well. However, I am stick with Windows Azure, then looking for a solution to start it.

So, please do me a favor, that see error details then give me a solution if possible.

Thanks,

You might read here viewtopic.php?f=1&t=20589
The only way to get VBox to work in nested mode is if you do not use VMX as this would cause a major issue and what is probably causing your host to reboot.
But as stated we do not support it here.
