partitioning phisical HD using VB

Post by shnela »

Hi,
I want to make new partitions in my hard drive, using GParted.
Is possible to use my hard drive in virtualbox? Now GParted see only virtual devices...

You do not want to access your host system drive with a VM unless you enjoy having a dead PC.

If you really want to repartition your host then try burning the GPparted live CD ISO to a CD-R, then boot your host from that.

Warning: you really should get help from an experienced user before trying something like this, as inexpert use of a low level system tool can quite easily destroy all the data on your PC. In fact I recommend backing up your PC with a disk imaging backup tool such as Acronis TrueImage.
