VBox hangs on start

Hi, I have installed in a Windows 7 64 the last VBox update 4.1.20 on a previuos 4.0.12 rel.
After setup VBox works very well without problems but after a reboot when I try to start again VBox, it hangs eating all pc memory available.
I've tried to remove and install again application without luck. If I install again old rel. 4.0.12 all works fine again.

Any suggestion?

Please post a VM log file of a failed session. Post as a zipped attachment please. The VM log file is called "VBox.log" and can be found in the "Logs" subfolder of the VM folder.

I have the problem when I start VBox application not VMs sessions, it fails before.

In the meanwhile I've tried a repair of installation of VBox. After that, Vbox starts but when I start a VM session it says "kernel not loaded". So I've restarted my pc but after that the problem come again.

Hi everyone,

nearly the same here.

1)
Yesterday installed ViBo on WIN7 32 bit. Today I tried to start VirtualBox Main Menu, but It does not open.
I didn't setup any of the VM machines.

Some Tasks in the Taskmanager starts at first WinTestOGL (too fast to recognize) or similar, WerFault.exe, Winlogon,
But in the end the VBoxSVC.exe stays in the Taskmanager and none main menu appears.

2) There is no xxx.log file or VM folder inside the VB main installation directories, (perhaps I was never able to set any VM'S)

Need Help!

These kinds of problems that are reproducible should be reported to bugtracker. If you have not signed on to Bugtracker before you will need to select a new Nickname to be able to report issues.
It would also help if you can post the ticket number here so other can see the progress, add information, or see the final results.

Hi to everyone, I've solved! Before last night I used to start VBox cliking an icon in a Rocketdock panel. Now I start VBox application directly from folder and it works.
I think there is some strange behavior of Rocketdock when start a 64 bit application but with prevoius release it always worked.
