Windows 7 Bootcamp in VirtualBox Problem

Post by AndBobsYourUncle »

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to setup my Bootcamp partition to startup in Virtualbox, as sometimes it would be nice to simply run Windows 7 in a VM instead of booting up into it.

I've followed all the guides on the Internet that I could find. However, I'm still getting a BSOD on startup. I've followed the directions from this website:
[Unfortunately, I can't post URLs yet, so Google "Windows 7 on Mac OS X through Virtual Box | Viplav's Blog" and the first result are the directions I followed]

Here are a couple screenshots showing my current relevant settings:

And here is what the BSOD says:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried everything, and I still can't seem to get this to work.

Check out "Board index ‹ General ‹ Howtos and Tutorials ‹ Other Hosts . How to Use a MacOS Bootcamp Partition as a VirtualBox Guest". I wrote up this procedure and it worked for me for a Windows 7 and Windows XP Guest.
