Deleting old versions

Post by dcneuro »

There have been a number of update versions recently. Do old files automatically get removed with new installations? Does/Should this be done manually? I always found that windows updates interfere considerably with speed on a windows machine and was concerned here also.

Thanks.

New files replace old ones. There should be no accumulation of crud on the host. Of course Windows guests may have restore points etc which still have stuff stored someplace. I normally don't bother with system restore because I prefer a more explicit (manual) backup procedure, which is easy to do with a VBox VM, at least since v4.0.0.
