Installing Windows 9x on Windows 7 Host cause host computer.

The crash never occur when DOS or SCANDISK running. It occurs only when the Windows 3.x-like installation interface for 30 second ~ 5 minute (may occur in different stage of Win9x's Win3x-like installation).

It cause the host computer "stop". No "STOP:0x...." bluescreen shown, no CPU% increase, no RAM% increase, the host OS simply become a static image - all things (task manager, mouse whether guest or host, keyboard, etc.) stop. The only solution is to push power key for 15 second.

Both Windows 98 and Me have this problem.

How did you install VirtualBox? The log says v4.1.22, but the log also says that executable path is "C:\Program Files\Sun\VirtualBox", which has not been true for quite some time, and certainly stopped being true long before v4.1.22 came out. I wonder if you have a botched install and a mishmash of versions.

I forget. I upgraded my VirtualBox from a previous version. And perhaps when I install post-Sun product into a Sun folder manually (by changing the install folder) in order to locate them easily. Anyway I'm sure I'm running VirtualBox 4.1.22 r80657.

Sorry, and assurances aside, but if you have been manually messing around with the installed executables set then I suddenly lose interest in your problem. I can only help if I can predict what you have. Messing around raises the possibility that you have mutually mismatched versions between the device drivers, VBoxSVC and VBoxManage/VirtualBox.

I suggest that you uninstall everything you have, make sure it is gone completely, including make sure to delete the Program Files/Sun and Program Files/Oracle/VirtualBox folders. Then reinstall VBox from scratch. The VM folders in your data area can remain and will be picked up by the reinstall.

Do you mean that Oracle does not assure its products' quality when their installation-dir are customized? Ugh... why was there a Change Dir option in Setup Wizard lol

What Oracle does is up to them. This site is a user run, with questions answered by voluteers. If you want support from Oracle then I believe it's possible to buy a support contract.
