cannot see VM on network beyond switch

Post by paulYpaul »

Running Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit server on a WIN7 HOST.
There are computers running from one 16-port switch. There are a group of computers on one end of a 4-port Linksys Switch.
The WIN7 host is on the Linksys switch. The others computers on this switch can see the UBUNTU server.
The other computers cannot.
The adapter is bridged and I have changed Promiscuity to ALL.
Any help with getting these machines to see one another is appreciated.

That sounds a pretty straight-forward networking problem with nothing to do with VirtualBox. If the vm is using bridged networking it should look just like any other machine on the same switch. Can the remote machines see the host or other physical machines on the Linksys?
