Using vbox 4.2 makes shutdown windows very long

Post by rwouters »

Hi all,

I recently installed the latest version of Virtualbox on my laptop (Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, Dell Latitude E5410).
I created a 32 bit Linux guest machine.
As long as I don't start up the linux guest vm I can shutdown my pc normally.
However, if I start up the linux guest and then shut it down again without errors and then try to shutdown my windows host machine,
shutting down my take up to five minutes or longer instead of a few seconds !
What could be going on here ?

Regards,
