Need Help! Not Tech Savvy...

Hello,

I downloaded the VirtualBox for Mac OS X, but every time I click on the icon nothing happens.
I am simply trying to get an old version of windows to run on my mac for the sole purpose of running a program that can only be done in windows.

If anyone has any help I am in immediate need of your knowledge!

couldn't find the answers I was looking for...Do I need another download to supplement VirtualBox? What reasons would prevent VirtualBox from opening?

I have a Mac OS X version 10.6.8, and I downloaded the second option which was the VirtualBox for Mac OS X.

Sounds like an installer problem; I'd trash the download and get a fresh copy.
You're on an Intel machine, right? You'd have to be with 10.6. What hardware? Disk space empty and available? You own an installable XP operating system CD to use?
