Error Post OS X 10.8.2 Upgrade

Post by MacLivingInPCWorld »

I just upgraded my MacBook Pro to OS X 10.8.2 and now I get the following error when trying to launch my Windows7Pro image from within VirtualBox. Any ideas how to get the image to launch again?

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows7Pro.
VT-x is being used by another hypervisor. (VERR_VMX_IN_VMX_ROOT_MODE).
VirtualBox can't operate in VMX root mode. Please close all other virtualization programs. (VERR_VMX_IN_VMX_ROOT_MODE).

You may want to read the topic just under the one you started VM doesn't start on Mountain Lion

I'm sure it's just an oversight on your part that you didn't bother to check if this had been reported already.
