Full screen toggle crash (on >1 Display) back in 4.2
Posted: 20. Sep 2012, 18:41
This problem just resurfaced for me in 4.2 (I was not experiencing it in 4.1) ...
[Intel 3770K processor, Nvidia Geforce GT680 2GB video card (latest drivers) ..]
Windows 7-x64 Host, Windows XP-32 VM (all windows VM's crash the same way though).
I have the VM configured for 2 displays.
Switching the VM in- or out- of full-screen mode (or seamless mode) causes a crash.
Changing acceleration and video memory settings make no difference, however it does not crash while only using 1 display.
Has anyone else started to experience this again in 4.2? I know there was a similar issue in previous versions.
EDIT: I've downgraded back to 4.1.22 since I really enjoy using 2 VM displays... (Still have the 4.2 Guest Additions installed in the VM) ... And confirmed there's no more Full-screen toggle crashing.
Seems like there's nothing particularly useful in the log at the time of switching in/out of fullscreen mode:
