VB 4.2 Guest Crashing

I upgraded to 4.2 with relevant extension pack on a Windows 2008 host.
I now have my SQL Server guest crashing with no warning.

Any insight into anyone having the same issues with guests on this version?
Can VB be downgraded to an earlier stable release?

The only resolve I am actioning at this time to ascertain further crashing is the re-apply Guest Additions.
I had noted that the installed size prior to re-installing on this SQL server differed to after.

I am hoping this is as simple as this in fixing the problem.
I also actioned for all other guests for good measure.

Its seems I have the same issue as Ticket #10936 (new defect)
Also running WSUS on the Server.

Disabled WSUS and GPO's for machines.
Stabilized with further crashes.

There does seem to be an issue with 4.2 and WSUS running on a guest.
