No "Discuss the 4.2.0 release" thread yet?

This is for discussing general topics about how to use VirtualBox.

No "Discuss the 4.2.0 release" thread yet?

Post by Armando »

The "discuss" thread used to appear one or two days after any new release, but this time a week has passed and still the thread hasn't been opened. Is there any particular reason for that?

Just a pure, quiet curiosity.

Hoping that this question of mine is not seen by some site moderator as an annoying waste of time, worthy of immediate deletion.

looking at the post-release bug reports, the mac users should have done some testing of the five beta/RC's we had.

Keep your comments on topic (relevant to the forum, relevant to the OPs question) and that shouldn't be a problem. Little side diversions like this one are a bad start - there is a feedback sticky in "Suggestions" if you want to complain about moderators, and that is the only place where such matters are on-topic.

I'm not sure I understand your comment.
As far as I know also many PC users have tested the various 4.2 betas/RCs.
In my small way, I myself did it; I even made some tiny suggestions about the GUI.

This, however, does not satisfy the above mentioned little curiosity of mine:
  • Why hasn't the usual "Discuss the 4.2.0 ..." thread been opened yet, a week after the release?
