The "discuss" thread used to appear one or two days after any new release, but this time a week has passed and still the thread hasn't been opened. Is there any particular reason for that?
Just a pure, quiet curiosity.
Hoping that this question of mine is not seen by some site moderator as an annoying waste of time, worthy of immediate deletion.
No "Discuss the 4.2.0 release" thread yet?

looking at the post-release bug reports, the mac users should have done some testing of the five beta/RC's we had.

Keep your comments on topic (relevant to the forum, relevant to the OPs question) and that shouldn't be a problem. Little side diversions like this one are a bad start - there is a feedback sticky in "Suggestions" if you want to complain about moderators, and that is the only place where such matters are on-topic.Armando wrote:Hoping that this question of mine is not seen by some site moderator as an annoying waste of time, worthy of immediate deletion.

I'm not sure I understand your comment.sej7278 wrote:looking at the post-release bug reports, the mac users should have done some testing of the five beta/RC's we had.
As far as I know also many PC users have tested the various 4.2 betas/RCs.
In my small way, I myself did it; I even made some tiny suggestions about the GUI.
This, however, does not satisfy the above mentioned little curiosity of mine:
- Why hasn't the usual "Discuss the 4.2.0 ..." thread been opened yet, a week after the release?
