Hi Tech guys,

i need to configure multiple ip subnets (10.0.0.1 and 20.0.0.1) in vbox network, is it possible in windows ?

Both the network should not communicate each other untill unless i configure router or any networking device between the network.

(Probably my question is there is any Vswitch concept here for windows ?)

Simply put each subnet in a different internal network. All you need to create a second internal network is to use a different network name.

I have two domains already in my Vbox lab (10.0.0.1 and 20.0.0.1) i configured DHCP server in Domain A to Assign ips for both IP subnets by creating 2 scope. 1st scope (Scope IP starts from 10.0.0.5 to 10.0.0.10) - 2nd scope (Scope IP starts from 20.0.0.5 to 20.0.0.10) i authorized both the scopes.

due to we configured as internal networking, vbox is considering as 10.0.0.1 and 20.0.0.1 in a same network, so the clients in differ domain B never gets ip from 20.0.0.1 Scope.

So i think we need to separate like 2 diff Vlan, is it possible to configure that or any tools for windows.

Put them in two different internal subnets and install two different DHCP servers, one for each domain.

Earlier i tried this method by configuring 2 DHCP Servers for individual domains, even we authorize both the DHCp servers, always the IP will be distributed by the first configured DHCP server even though it is in different subnet. Physically it is not at all possible but in Vbox it is happening

Any update from Vbox Developers/Administrators team ?

BillG is correct.

Running guests configured for internal networking are isolated from the host and the guest in a different intnet unless you add them manually.
So for example if you have two guest set to use intnet1 and two guests set to use intnet2 they will not be able to communicate with each other or the host by default. You must not use the hosts or vbox dhcp server to do leases or you have just added the mechanism to combine them is some regards.

Once the intnet is connected you use one of the guests (in each intnet) to supply dhcp.

I mentioned already even if we configure 2 different internal network, IP is distributed from only one DHCP server.

From the hosts terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use " " if the name has a space in it.

Note if the host is Windows you need to be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work.

Post as an attachment and do one from each Internal on different subnet.
