I'm trying to set up expanded memory on a dos 6.22 machine running on a host mandriva spring system.
The emm386 driver reports that it's unable to set the page frame base address.
If I force this parameter, the system assigns the expanded memory, but I get an error that reports that an eprom is mapped on that address.
Is it there any fix for this problem?
Can it be related with the fact that the minimum amount of memory that can be assigned to the videocard is 1 MB, while, as far as I remember in the far times of dos it did not exceed 256 kB?
thank you for your help.

have you tried using himem.sys
because every time dos is installed on my vm the memory manager is himem.sys
incase you want to know
my vm running states emm386 driver is not installed
if want to set himem.sys to your mem manager then you need to have this line
device=himem.sys /testmem:off
and rem out the emm386 line
not sure the enhanced tools version of doss 6.22 makes a defferance
