I've been using Virtual box on a Windows 7 64bit machine for a while now. I have XP 32bit as a client. Client is set to bridged adapter and has its own IP from my DHCP server.
I develop a lot of multicast software, and noticed that even with the LAN set to bridged, multicast packets do not arrive at the client unless the host has also joined the same multicast group.
I can, and do, work round this by joining the group on the host with a little app I wrote purely for the purpose, but it's getting a little annoying.
Any ideas?
