USB w Open Indiana
Posted: 16. Sep 2012, 23:10
Running Win XP Pro SP3 as the installed OS
Using OpenIndiana oi_151a X86 under VBox 4.1.22 with the extension pack.
OpenIndiana's performance is excellent but I have no R/W Storage.
However, I think I should be able to use a USB drive for read/write storage?
Also am I correct in assuming that I have no persistent HD storage when running under VBox ?
The required extension pack is installed - or so I think!
How would I verify this?
The VBox USB Dialog has both Enable USB Controller and Enable USB2.0(EHCI) Controller checked
and there are no USB Device filters.
Running FAT32 on the USB ( a Transcend JF V30 / 2 GB) drive.
TIA
