3d mode on secondary monitor

Just wanted to make note of an observation. I wondered if anyone else has run into this.
First, I'm on Vbox 4.1.22 r80657
Win7(64b) host with dual video cards (AMD Radeon HD 6450) and dual monitors
Ubuntu 12.04(64b) guest
On the guest, in order to enable the 3d desktop, the vbox window must be on the monitor marked as windows primary. It doesn't seem to matter which monitor is labled (1) or (2), just which one is used by Windows as primary. If the vbox window is on the secondary monitor, the Ubuntu desktop comes up in 2d / classic mode.
I noticed this as I like to have my ubuntu desktop running in full screen on my secondary monitor...
