Stale iSCSI targets

Post by Norchem »

Whenever I call

Code: Select all

VBoxManage list hdds
, If any of those UUIDs are iSCSI targets that no longer exist. VBox will timeout for several minutes before completing the list. This can take forever if there are several old iSCSI targets hanging around or if the SAN is offline. This is especially troublesome for anything querying the web service such as phpvirtualbox. Is there a way to lower the timeout? Or should I file this as a bug? I searched and could not find any prior reference to this issue.

Thanks!

These kinds of problems that are reproducible should be reported to bugtracker. If you have not signed on to Bugtracker before you will need to select a new Nickname to be able to report issues.
It would also help if you can post the ticket number here so other can see the progress, add information, or see the final results.

Well I wasn't sure this was a bug yet. Just wanted to see if I was missing an option. I will file a bug report then.
