Hi there,
Am totally new to this. Installed Virtualbox today so I could run archivematica on it.
Installation of both seemed to go well, but when I start archivematica and log in it just goes straight to a Virtualbox critical error.
The end of the log file says the following:
00:04:54.615 VM: Raising runtime error 'HostMemoryLow' (fFlags=0x2)
00:04:54.615 AssertLogRel D:\tinderbox\win-4.1\src\VBox\VMM\VMMR3\VMM.cpp(1680) VMMR3EmtRendezvous: !pVCpu->vmm.s.fInRendezvous
00:04:54.615 Console: VM runtime error: fatal=false, errorID=HostMemoryLow message="Unable to allocate and lock memory. The virtual machine will be paused. Please close applications to free up memory or close the VM"
00:04:54.615 Changing the VM state from 'RUNNING' to 'GURU_MEDITATION'.
Am I right in thinking that my PC just doesn't have enough memory to run this (it has just under 2GB)? Do I need to make a case to get a better PC before I can go any further with this?
Thanks,
Jen

Re: Help with critical error
00:00:03.103 Host RAM: 2001MB RAM, available: 1058MB
00:00:03.378 RamSize <integer> = 0x0000000040000000 (1 073 741 824, 1 024 MB)
Yes you are low on available RAM. By the time you add the vRam and the host side that VirtualBox needs you have depleted all memory available.
It should be easier to add memory than replace the unit but that is your choice.
