USB not captured

Dear all,

I cannot capture any USB peripheral on my XP guests. In particular: external USB-RS232, Kingston USB pendrive, WI-FI USB adapter, ST Developmento board ST link cable, and so forth...

Some data about my system:

System Sony Vaio VPCF1 (i7 core)
Host: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64Bit
Guest: Windows XP
VBOX version 4.1.20 r80170

I googled a lot about the issue. There are several suggestions, but none working. I tried:
- to disable USB 2.0 (EHCI)
- to run VBOX as adminstrator
- to uninstall/reinstall VBOX as administrator
- to uninstall/reinstall VBOX Extension

There should be something very trivial to do I didn't yet...
I thank very much in avance for any suggestion.

Ciao,
Marte

I tried to capture USB in many different virtual guests and none of them work.... ex. Win 8 pro, Kubuntu, Ubuntu and none of them work.

Thanks in advance,

Install the extension pack. Create a filter in VM settings / USB. Post the VM log file as a zipped attachment if you continue to have problems.

Many thanks for your answer, mpack.

I made what you suggested.
First of all, I paste the error message I obtain (apologies, italian language):
"

USB device 'STMicroelectronics STM32 STLink' with UUID {5821d396-a26a-4075-a585-02a52cdb2b6e} is busy with a previous request. Please try again later.

Secondly, attached the log file.

Thank you in advance!
Marte
