No Devices Menu in Windows XP vm

Post by Lola89 »

Hello,

I have just installed VirtualBox on my MacBook Pro and installed Windows XP Professional as a guest vm. I want to install Guest Additions on it but there is no "Devices" menu at the top of the guest window. I saw a post elsewhere on this forum where someone said to press "Host+C" to make the guest window full screen and that should solve the problem. I tried this and while it did allow me to widen the window to make it bigger, it did not make the Machine, Devices, or Help menus appear for me. This might be a noob mistake on my part (it took me several hours just to figure out how to install XP on VirtualBox lol), but I just want anyone who responds to this topic to know that I have exhausted other avenues before coming here.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try Host+Home
Works on my Win7 host. Don't have a clue if Mac has a Home key.
