Windows XP Host PC Restarts On VM Startup

Hi,
I have a windows XP host and I am trying to run an Ubuntu guest pc. When I start the VM, I get a message about screen resolution just before the host PC restarts completely.
If I disable hardware virtualization in VBox, I am able to get into the VM, but the run speed is incredibly slow. I am using an AMD 64 X2 Mobile Processor which I believe supports virtualization. I have checked in BIOS to see that virtualization is enabled.
I'm attaching a log file, but I don't think it shows any critical errors.
Any ideas?
